Full-scope marine survey capabilities

Six disciplines. One accountable surveyor per case. Audit-grade documentation issued to industry tolerances and admissible in U.S. federal admiralty and London arbitration.

A displacement-based determination of cargo weight loaded or discharged, calculated from the vessel's own hydrostatic particulars.
  • Read all six draft marks (fwd, mid, aft — port and starboard)
  • Apply perpendicular corrections, then trim and hog/sag corrections
  • Measure observed density and correct displacement accordingly
  • Deduct ballast, fuel, fresh water, and constants; issue the survey worksheet
Any bulk load or discharge where the weight of record must withstand challenge from vessel, terminal, or receiver.
An independent measurement of fuel quantity on board before and after a bunkering operation.
  • Sound or ullage every bunker tank and record temperatures
  • Apply tank calibration tables and volume correction factors
  • Compare delivered quantity against the bunker delivery note
  • Document discrepancies and issue a letter of protest where warranted
On delivery/redelivery under a charter party, or whenever a bunker quantity dispute is likely.
A dated record of vessel condition and consumables at the moment a charter begins or ends.
  • Photograph and log hold, hatch, and deck condition
  • Record remaining bunkers, lube oils, and fresh water
  • Note existing damage with location references
  • Issue a joint report for owner and charterer signature
At every delivery and redelivery under a time charter, and before hold inspection by cargo interests.
Independent verification of the quantity transferred, cross-checked against shore scale or shore tank figures.
  • Select the governing measurement method for the cargo type
  • Witness shore weights or gauge shore tanks where applicable
  • Reconcile ship figure against shore figure and quantify the difference
  • Deliver the full calculation trail with the certificate
Whenever ship and shore figures must be reconciled for invoicing, customs, or claim purposes.
Report delivery where the payload is encrypted client-side so only you and the assigned surveyor can read it.
  • Reports are sealed to your key before they leave the device
  • Signed PDFs carry the surveyor's credential and case number
  • Access is scoped per case, never shared across clients
  • Every retrieval is written to an immutable audit log
For commercially sensitive cargoes, active claims, or any file heading toward arbitration.
A permanent, indexed archive of every survey we have issued for your account.
  • Every case is keyed to an immutable case number
  • Search across vessel name, IMO, port, date, and material
  • Re-download original signed reports and worksheets
  • Export case sets for counsel or underwriters
When a claim surfaces months later and the original documentation must be produced quickly.
